Who can believe it is December? Where has the year gone?
Monday we went to the movies with the Victors and saw "Burning Fire" from The Hunger Games. We left there and went to Stanley and shopped around there. Stopped and had a piece of pizza and then saw a New York Fries store so had to have some of them also. Bought a few things, ties, hats and then went back to Nathan Road where we went to a little market and I purchased all the things I was going to take home for everyone. I got 14 items for 1,170 HKD so felt pretty good about that. Hopefully I am done with that.
Tuesday Paul got up early and went to the chiropractor. When we got home we gathered up, and oh how I wish I had taken a picture, a heater, which is large and we had in a big box, heavy also, a large bag with a Christmas tree and garland in it, two lamps, shades removed, and a bag of other things. We had to get onto the shuttle, luckily there was a seat in the front, I took it and Paul put the big box in front and found a seat a few rows back. We got off the shuttle at Hung Hom and caught the MTR again looking like pack people and took the red line to the end where we got on a light bus and finally got to the Jacinto's home. Rowena was so happy to get these items and we were happy to get rid of them.
From there we went to Noah's Ark. It was nice but a little disappointing. The gardens and the Ma Wan Gardens were lovely. The exhibits were a disappointment. Either we couldn't figure out where they were or there were none. We left after a couple of hours.

| Noah's Ark is in a beautiful setting and there are these amazing bridges above it. |

| As you enter the area there is a reception area. |
Wednesday we went to Stanley, a tourist market to pick up a few things. It is a beautiful area. We walked through the Murray House, which ended up being just restaurants and then found a New York Fries shop so had to have some french fries. They were so good.

Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving Day at the temple with the Temple missionaries and the Temple Presidency. It was a delicious dinner. We took mashed potatoes and gravy.

Friday we took the Central Ferry #5 out to Cheung Chau Island again. I wanted to get another pair of sandals to take home but we could not find the shop again. It was a beautiful day.
Saturday we went to the Everyday Branch in Wan Chai to hear Velma give her first talk in Church. She has been preparing very hard. The Entry to the building is all decorated for Christmas and looks beautiful.
We totally missed our Thanksgiving Dinner with the Andersens. We got so lost and couldn't find the bus or taxi to take us so had to cancel and just go home. What a disappointment.

As it turned out Velma did not end up speaking. For some reason they had invited the Hathaways to speak and the other Branch member who was also assigned. She was disappointed but will do it in a few weeks.
Sunday taking the shuttle down to TST we were going a different route and couldn't figure out why until I looked out the window and saw all these bikers. There must have been a race going on.
I only got one picture at Church Sunday and that was of Bem Bem. I had to leave right after the block because we had a choir practice for the Temple Devotional and it was going to be at our apartment. I missed out on a very good potluck dinner. Paul stayed and finished up tithing settlement and counting.
THANKSGIVING IS NOT A HOLIDAY, IT'S THE WAY HAPPY PEOPLE LIVE!!
