March 25- 28, 2013

Monday is a day we change our routine around a little.  I try to give Paul a special breakfast.  Usually we have a good healthy heart breakfast of oatmeal, walnuts, cranberry juice and fresh fruit like banana, apple, pear, etc on top of it.  But occasionally we have to deviate from that.  

We stopped at the Distribution Center on our way home from the temple on Tuesday to order some Primary materials and ran into Elder Cowley, mission office missionary, who was helping this gentlemen find his way home.

We had quite a week in the temple.  We had a group from Mongolia and Thailand with us this week.  They always bring several members for their own endowment and bring family names to be done.  It keeps us very busy.  One of the hardest things is to pronounce their names correctly.  We also saw several of our Peninsula Branch 3 members, Aestra, Yessie, Taie Kong, at the temple this week.

This is Sister Poon, our Saturday coordinator.  We happen to come out of the temple at the same time.  She has been very good to us and always encourages us to work on the language.  

This is the wonderful Thai group.  The Branch President and his wife and daughter brought these other members.  Again we were lucky enough to come out of the temple together and were able to get this picture.  They will not be coming back for about two years because they will need to save money in order to come again. They are so faithful and loving.  We enjoyed serving with them this week in the baptistery  iniatory and endowment.  They are from Chiangrai, Thailand.

After leaving this group at the temple and heading to the MTR we saw four of the Hong Kong Elders heading back to the Mission Office.

This week we celebrated two holidays, Good Friday and the day after Good Friday.  The temple was open for our holiday schedule which means we have sessions at 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.  We were not as busy as we had hoped but still did pretty well in accomplishing many ordinances.

It tuckered Paul right out.  

Once he woke up he got his 2nd wind.  He was looking for some printer paper and ran across a packet of what to do in the apartment.  Check the filters on the air conditioner and dehumidifier regularly.  He got right on it and cleaned them all.

Thursday after the temple Sister Victor was kind enough to come up and give me a hair cut.  Looks pretty cute huh?

 Friday, after calling the kids a thousand times and asking many questions we finally bit the dust and bought a mini I Pad.  What fun we are having.  We have been face timing everyone.  Got to see the grandchildren who were all in Utah at Kory's place for the weekend.  Even called Courtney this morning our time and got her on to ask a few more questions.

Sister Victor and I in the Branch Library.  She's getting ready for Primary.  She does an awesome job with these kids.  Always brings them fun things to do, great lessons and lots of treats.

 The RS sisters are getting ready for the RS Birthday Celebration which will be next Sunday.

 Sunday was the 5th Sunday and President Collins showed and discussed the new Training videos.  Afterwards there is always picture taking time.

We left Church and headed to the Wan Chai Bldg. for a Easter musical put on by the Singers of the Heart performers, members of the Hong Kong Wards and Branches.  It was beautiful and we are so happy we made the effort to attend.  Sister Rechell Kwok was one of the singers.  We met her in the temple.  One of here sons is now at BYU Idaho that served with Elder Lewis in the temple before he left for school.  Her other son is serving a mission in Edmonton, Canada.

Also Sister Lo, from the temple was there.  It's always great to get pictures of the many people we have met here in Hong Kong.

 This is one of the Scouts they had manning the doors for the performance to keep people from coming in and out.  They sent them through the cultural hall instead.  It was a very good idea.

Kimberly, Gary and family drove to Utah on Thursday and stayed at Kory and Katie's for the weekend.  Kelly, Rob and their boys also joined them.  It sounded, from the noise we heard, that they had a great time.  The adults went out for dinner Friday night and it looks like they had a fun time.  They were counting on Dad taking care of them and he didn't disappoint them.

We are so proud of every one of you.  Great job Kimberly in taking Courtney and Kaylee to the YW Conference.  We were very impressed by their note taking ability.  Thanks for sharing with us.
