Monday morning the temple missionaries gathered at the Star Ferry to go to Cheung Chau Island for the day. It's our first outing in awhile and we had a great time.

From the Star Ferry we caught the fast ferry to Cheung Chau which was about 30 minutes away. It was a pretty foggy morning.

We walked or road around the island to the pirate cave. We met a group of young people who said "it's very dangerous, you better not go in." Well we met up with the Parkin family from Holiday. They are here to pick up their son and were also visiting the island. They helped us down into the cave and encouraged us to go. It's a pretty short cave and fairly narrow throughout and you have to duck your head in a couple of places but we were glad we went.

Tuesday on the way to the temple we decided to stop and get some money from the ATM. Bad idea. They said we exceeded our limit for the day, we didn't get the notice they were dropping it, and my card got eaten by the machine. Naturally we didn't want to leave until we were sure no one was going to get the card after we left. Finally we got a hold of the bank and worked it out. So we were slightly late at the temple. I got there in time to help with three sisters from India who were receiving their endowment. What special sisters and it is always a wonderful experience to help with them. Paul and I got to do a session together again today.
We had the opportunity of serving a group from Thailand this week and three sisters from India. Our sisters from Bangalore India found the gospel from a brother-in-law who had come to the states and met the missionaries. He came back to India and shared the gospel with them. Esther Anthony was sealed to her deceased husband and they did the work for several other family members. They stayed all week and we got to see them on Friday at the Friday Branch when we were with Jeremy Cox showing him the WanChai bldg.
The Thailand group, The Srisura family, two sisters and their mother from Baugkok, Thailand. We were able to serve with them in initiatory and Paul did sealings with them. It was a great week in the temple.
This week we met Jeremy Cox, a young man who was at the temple all week while he was waiting to get his Visa renewed. He came thinking it would only be a day and it ended up a week. He moved into patron housing and Wednesday he came over and stayed with us so Thursday we were off and when he came back from the temple we went with him to WanChai to pick up his visa. We took him on a tour of the bldg. and ran into the India sisters he had met in patron housing. They were attending the Thursday Branch.

We got to Kwai Fang early and the girls always meet upstairs early because they have their holiday and are off all day and need someplace to go so they go early and hang out at the church which is great.

Another great week in Kong Kong Temple. We are so blessed.
Our son-in-law, Gary, Kimberly's husband was called as Bishop of the Jerome 3rd Ward. We are so proud of him. Camarillo Stake also got a new President, Pres. Lythgo, John Maddux and Jeremy Garrett. It was 9 years ago to the day that Paul was put into the stake presidency with Pres. Blickenstaff and Figeroa. Time seems to fly.
