May 27 - June 2, 2013

Monday we went back to the Sham Shui Po street market to see if we could find the India shop where I got a couple of lounge dresses, cover-ups.  The girls thought they would be good for the pool.  We went able to find it again, not an easy job.   We came back and Paul took a nap and I went grocery shopping with my trusty cart, which he wouldn't be caught dead using.  It sure saves on carrying things home from the market.

That evening we had a great FHE at the Hathaways.  We had pizza and soda then had a great lesson on Psalms 23.

When we doubt there is a God                        The Lord
When we feel self reliant                                  is my shepherd
When we are needy                                          I shall not want
When we are weary                                         He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
When we worry                                               He leadeth me beside still waters
When we are hopeless                                     He restoreth my soul
When we are burdened with guilt                     he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
When we become arrogant                                For His names sake
When e feel grief                                                yea, though I walk through the  valley of the
                                                                           shadow of death
When we are fearful                                            I will feel no evil
When  we are lonely                                           For thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
                                                                            comfort me
When we feel shame                                           Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of
                                                                            Mine enemies
When we are disappointed                                 Thou anointest my head with oil
When we are envious of others                           My cup runneth over
When we are full of doubt                                  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
                                                                            days of my life
When we are homesick and miss those              and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever
who have gone on before us

We ended with Dryers ice cream.  Yum Yum

This week in the temple we had a couple of young people coming to the temple to receive their endowment before their missions.  They came from Singapore and were going to Oakland and Santa Rosa CA.  We also had a group from mainland.
On Wednesday we met this group and were able to attend a baptism of a young couple from mainland.  Their auntie had encouraged them to come to church.  The first time he said "it was boring, three hours, and I didn't understand anything they were talking about."  She encouraged him to come back.  He was having trouble with his business and she encouraged him to pray.  He did.  Things improved, his wife could see a change in him.  He wanted to know more.  They came to HK for their last lessons and to be baptized.  What a special opportunity this was for us.

Friday we went to the temple all morning to work on our ODA (other day assignment) which was working on the training book and bringing it up to date.  After doing all we could there we went to Wan Chai where we were hoping to have lunch at Dumpling Pro but they are closed for two weeks so instead we settled for Subway.

Saturday as we came out of the temple their was a wedding party taking pictures.  It was Brother Chung and his daughter had just been sealed.

Sunday was fast Sunday and we attended the Tai Wo Ward with Elder & Sister Chan.  We saw many of our friends from the temple.  It is always so great to visit these Chinese wards and spend time with the many people we see come to the temple.

Paul bore his testimony along with Elder Chan.  They had a new convert confirmation.  We left after Sacrament meeting and headed for our Branch meeting.  President Collins is in Scotland sending his son off to the MTC.  He will be back next week.  Today we had FHE with a message about forgiveness from Elder Watkins and then pot luck dinner.  It was very good.
