Our First Call for Help

We are going to be participating in a YSA Conference in July and have been asked to facilitate a workshop on "Fun and Inexpensive Dating Activities". We need your help. Please send me some of the fun and interesting experiences you have had dating. You can email it to paulmarjean@yahoo.com or just reply on the blog. Thanks so much. Pictures would be fun too.

Also do you have any fun mixer games. We have over 150 youth signed up to come and need some ways to get them to interact.

We leave Monday at 4:40 pm and arrive in Ljubljana, Slovenia Tuesday at 3:05 pm. We fly straight to Paris and make a change there. That will be a challenge for Elder Lewis to be on the plane for 10 hours straight.

Tough challenge! It's been way too long since I went on a date to help in that area, but a good mixer would be to make up a sheet of paper that has assignments like: find someone who has brothers, find someone who has served a mission, find someone who was born in California, find someone who has taught Primary, etc. etc. Have them get the signature of someone who meets the criteria of each question, that way they will need to talk to everyone in the room. Good luck on everything, including that long flight!

I always liked fun dates that kept you active, such as scavenger or "treasure" hunts, or service projects. the list idea is a good one also, it gets you to step out of your comfort zone a little.
