August 26 - September 1, 2013

Monday the Senior Couples met at the shuttle and went to the Heritage Museum in Che Kung Temple MTR station.  From there it was a short walk across the river.  The museum had some antiquities exhibits, a Bruce Lee exhibit and film, Fashion exhibit and many hands on activities for children.  President Dai was our guide.  He and Sister Dai live very close to the museum.

After leaving the museum we went to lunch at a restaurant that Pres. Dai goes to often and had pork chop and rice bowl.  It was very good.  From there we took a short walk to the Che Kung Temple.  This was very impressive.  One of the best temples we have seen.

We came home and went grocery shopping in Wam Po, near our home.  

This week in the temple we had a wonderful family from India come.  Parents, two sons, one of which was married and his wife.  They spent the week.  We got to assist in the iniatory ordinances and then were on several sessions with them and in sealings.  What wonderful Saints we have all over the world.  

On Friday Paul went over to the Church to get some things ready for an audit he was having on Sunday and later I met him and we went to the ICC building again.  The tallest building in HK and in the top ten in the world.  You get a wonderful view and it was a sunny clear day and also the last day we could use our free passes.  However there was a private party going on so only half of it was open.  Still a beautiful view.

Saturday evening after serving in the temple we were invited to a program being presented by the Tsing Yi Ward.  They meet for Sacrament meeting in our building right after us at 3:20.  They have been preparing for weeks.  We were happy to be able to attend.  It was excellent.  The theme was Love At Home.  They had many musical groups, choir, speaking and small segments.  

It also focused on missionary work and what we can each do.  Here the Elders & Sisters perform.

Shannon has been doing so well on the piano. She came this week with ten songs learned.  She played prelude again this week and did so well.  Lingling told her after playing prelude for a month she gets to play a song for Sacrament meeting.  In this picture she is trying to play something from the green hymnal.  So proud of them both.
