FHE Monday evening were farewells for three couples. The Busenbarks are the ones we know. They are MLS missionaries in the YSA and Sunset Branches and have had many responsibilities. He called it his Miracle Mission. Three months before coming out they found cancer in his kidney. He lost one and then while here had another one in his lung. He has been having chemo and has had a really difficult time but has stuck it out. They are from North Logan.

Wednesday evening we went to Nik and Nikie's for dinner with the missionaries and Brother & Sister Nichols, Busenbarks, and Dave and Peggy . A really ncie evening and delicious spaghetti dinner.
Today in the temple I followed our usual two sessions and went on the 2 pm session. It's always a lovely day and many of our regulars were on the sessions.

Thursday morning the Sister missionaries came to our door and asked if we could go down to the Visitor Center. The Goodman's just got a call that their 11 year old grandson had passed away in the night. We went down for a short time until the Allan's got there and then we headed for a baptism for Rachelle Lynn Podhorzer in the Sunset YSA Branch. Elder Owen's and Johnson told us about it the night before at Nikie's dinner. We got to be there for the baptism and then had to leave for the temple. We had a nice day at the temple. Lots of people coming in before it closes. Rachelle is Jewish. Pretty exciting to see her baptized.

Saturday we went into the temple at 6:30 and helped out all day. We helped with one wedding and then stayed and helped President and Sister Nihipali prepare the temple for closing. That means we cleaned out all the lockers to be sure nothing was left in them. They said this was the best one yet. We had just a handful of clothing left in lockers. We also picked up other sacred materials and stored them away.

Sunday was Fast Sunday and we attended the Kahuku 2nd Ward. Paul bore his testimony, which is always very touching. We had several friends in this ward. The Jerome Pollards, Sister Mamea (she attends our 4 pm Friday session every week), and Mel and his wife and daughter. After church we checked out where the Hancocks live and a beach someone told us about.
We had a Break the Fast with the other senior missionaries at the PCC. Many are going home this month. One will be Sister Peggy Rhodes. She also attends our 4 pm session on Tuesdays and has been helping me with family names. She has served in the PCC nursery and is from Idaho Falls. Sure appreciate her. After dinner I joined the choir for a practice for our 4th of July Celebration. We are actually performing on Monday evening at FHE. Sister Pam Mecham is conducting and Sister Talley is playing the piano. It was a nice lovely evening.
